Timeline of Key Events & Supporting Evidence

1. Workplace Harassment & Hostile Work Environment

Ongoing from Start Date – February 2024

• Verbal abuse and intimidation from management:

• (Manager) regularly yelled at employees, cursed, and falsely accused staff of issues beyond their control (notably in a meeting over the heater issue).

•  (Service Manager) frequently belittled employees, ignored concerns, and dismissed valid complaints, creating an unprofessional and hostile environment.

• Employees were forced to work under high-stress conditions with little to no communication from management.

Evidence:

✅ Witnesses

✅ Text messages documenting workplace issues

✅ Audio recordings of management interactions

2. Health & Safety Concerns Raised

Multiple occasions leading up to February 2024

• Health and safety training not properly facilitated: Despite requesting to complete the necessary training, manager refused to cooperate, later blaming me for not finishing it.

• Unsafe working conditions: Employees were made to drive a vehicle with a completely flat tire to Waterloo, despite it previously passing an inspection.

• Concerns about mental health dismissed by Manager, who stated, “We have a business to run.”

Evidence:

✅ Requests for health & safety training (text message proof)

✅ Confirmation of vehicle safety concerns

✅ Time-off request related to mental health struggles

3. Labour Board Contact & Retaliation

February 2024

• While waiting in managers office for a scheduled meeting, I contacted the Ontario Labour Board to inquire about my workplace rights and report safety concerns.

• Less than an hour later, I was called into the office and terminated without cause.

• The official reason given was that the company was “moving in a different direction.”

Evidence:

✅ Call record confirming contact with the Labour Board

✅ Termination conversation audio recording

✅ Termination letter (unsigned)

4. Immediate Job Replacement – Proof of Retaliation

February 2024

• Within a week  of my termination, the dealership posted a job listing seeking a new Automotive Detailer.

• This directly contradicts their stated reason for firing me, proving that the “company moving in a different direction” was a false excuse for wrongful dismissal.

Evidence:

✅ Screenshot of job posting for my exact position

✅ Termination letter stating no cause given

5. Attempts to Obtain Employee Records & Severance Discussion

February 2024 – Present

• Sent formal request for my full employee file, including documentation related to workplace complaints, safety concerns, and performance records.

• Employer has not provided cause for termination beyond a vague “business decision.”

• Employer refused to discuss termination further, stating they will only communicate through lawyers.

Evidence:

✅ Email requesting employee records

✅ Employer’s response refusing to provide detailed reasoning

Summary of Case Based on Evidence

• Hostile Work Environment & Harassment: Ongoing mistreatment, belittling, and verbal abuse from management.

• Negligence in Workplace Safety & Health: Denial of proper training, exposure to hazardous conditions, and dismissal of legitimate health concerns.

• Retaliation for Reporting Concerns: Fired within one hour of contacting the Labour Board.

• False Justification for Termination: Employer claimed “business decision,” yet immediately sought a replacement.
